Happy Monday!

What a day! And and a beautiful cooler day it was. ❤️

Well, we kind of did a thing today. Last week before we left Atlanta, we knew we wanted to get a kitten for Daisy to take care of and we actually found a sweet girl dog that we were possibly going to adopt once we got back. So we showed up today and unfortunately our little girl dog was shipped off to New Jersey to a different shelter. We missed her by 30 minutes. 😢

Well, we already had a kitten picked out and of course he was still available. He had a little brother in the cage as well. We could not leave that little sweetheart behind. 

As we were filling out the paperwork for the two kittens, one of the workers came in and said she has arrived. The lady that he was talking about was giving up her dog because she needed to go into rehab for 45 days. Mark looked out the door and saw the dog sitting in the car. I said get Shiloh‘s leash and go take that dog for a walk. Mark came back in and said he’s a really good dog. The lady actually rescued this dog as a puppy from the Humane Society. She was so distraught that she had to return him back into this environment. So I had a conversation with her and told her that we would be happy to give him a very good home, but that he would be our dog that we were not going to foster him. She was ecstatic and so thrilled that she was able to find a home for him, and he wouldn’t have to go into a kennel.

Meet Spade!

Today was going to be a big day for my birds. I was going to let them out this afternoon and free range. But I figured we had enough on our plate today with a dog and two kittens so that’s been delayed until tomorrow. We are truly blessed because the kittens are loving their new space and Spade is truly a blessing because he is showing great signs already of being a good dog and very trainable.

Until tomorrow with the chickens, and turkeys, and guinea fiasco of free ranging. 😂😂
