We are still covered in a blanket of snow and ice. 🤦🏼♀️ We had to put a separate 2 x 4 on my covered area of my chicken coop because the ice is 3 inches thick sitting on that roof. I worked on it today and got about 2 feet worth off. Unfortunately I have overhead netting mixed in with that ice so it’s hard to get it off this stupid roof. Unfortunately, we have some more cold weather this weekend and finally next week we’re gonna get into the 40s. ☃️
We are finally making some progress on our shower in the bathroom. This whole job was supposed to be done this week. I have a feeling we have another week and a half before we are completely done with this bathroom and upstairs.
I had so much fun, incubating my own eggs and a few eggs from another person that I purchased. Was not the greatest percentage as I had 22 eggs in the incubator at the beginning and I hatched out 11. But being my first time I’m pleased.
Tomorrow morning, they will all be in the little dog kennel. I just need our temperatures to get a little bit warmer outside before I can actually move them into my brooder area in my big coop.
