Fall is now here! We are slowly getting cooler temps. The evenings are lovely. The bugs are still out so if you sit outside in the evening, you got to have bug spray on or your long sleeve pants and shirts. Kade is doing awesome! His recall has improved so much that he gets to wander outside the porch if we are outside.

I started an experiment yesterday to see if I could put up a little road side stand to sell my eggs. It looks pretty rough, but it’ll have some improvements as I just sold my first dozen today.!

I had to make a hard decision and decided to rehome my turkeys. I loved them walking around the property, but to be honest, I was a little intimidated by them because they are such a large bird and their wings are super strong when they start flapping them and you’re trying to catch them. My Tom decided to try to mount one of my white leghorns. I did not see the actual mounting, but I came up on him pecking the crap out of this poor girl. Unfortunately, he broke her leg so I have her in this comfy dog kennel, and Mark helped put a splint on her leg. So we will see if I can get her leg healed. She is still laying her eggs in this kennel. 😂

Kade helped me check in on the chickens tonight.

Girls are all tucked in.

Now we are watching some football outside!

Have a great night! 🤠
