Taco Tuesday!

I hope everyone is having a taco today. Our local Mexican restaurant in our tiny little town moved to a larger building. It has great decor inside now and much more enjoyable to sit down and have a beer and a taco.

We had a great visit with Alicia, Camden and Andy. Camden loved all the open space and being able to be outside. They arrived on Wednesday and we spent the night in Nashville. The next morning we made a trip to the Nashville Zoo. Highly recommend anyone visiting to go check it out. It is laid out well and it has nice and shady paths while you look at the animals.

Once we got back to the farm my nephew, Sean and his daughter Sammy came to visit and spend the night with us. The kids had a lot of fun. And of course, Sean wanted to take the kids fishing in the pond.

While he was here we picked up these sweeties. He was so proud that he got to hold the box in the truck all the way home. He was a good helper, getting the tent set up. These are guinea keets. They can eat hundred of ticks in one day. I can’t wait for them to get to work. 😂

We are ordering my chicken coop this week. I am a little behind the eight ball getting it done. It will take 2-3 weeks to be delivered. So my chicks have outgrown the shop area. So for the next 30 days, this will be there new pad.

I will get them moved over in the next couple days. So more to come in that venture!

Now that we are done with the fun stuff, moving back to the beginning of last week. Mark was sitting out on the front porch and he heard a noise in the corner of the shop. He thought he heard a mouse squealing. Of course, his first thought was a snake and yes, he was right. I am pretty sure this is the snake that killed one of my baby chicks that got out of the pen in the shop. Unfortunately, this is a good snake to have around because it does kill rodents. This thing was huge.
