Friday…

I was up at 4:00 am and could not get back to sleep. It sure made for a long day. But what a day it was!

Started out with the first breakfast made in the house. It was so hard to cook those eggs when I had to pay $7.50 a dozen for them. 😤

I went over to the neighbors yesterday as she had a few house plants she wanted to give me. I brought six with me on the trip. I have plants and not a finished house. 😂

We did get our mailbox put up yesterday.

I started working on the floor getting the padding off that was glued down. 🤦🏼‍♀️ This is one of the worst jobs on the list. It’s just hard on the back.

Mark worked on plumbing most of the day. With this older house, the well and the hot water heater are located under the house. So he made several trips under the house yesterday. But at least there is a light in that crawl space. WE NOW HAVE RUNNING WATER! No more going to the gas station when you have to go 💩

Today he will work on the tub/shower unit so we might get a warm shower today or tomorrow.

We did get our fiber internet hooked up yesterday. We are still amazed how friendly all the service people have been. It’s like they all are happy to do their job and to help people genuinely.

Mark is hoping the neighbor comes over this afternoon with his backhoe so that we can work on the ponds to get them draining properly. More to come on that exciting project.

Yesterday I found this cute swing near the front of the property. I tested it and it works pretty well.
